We are always expanding and covering new areas.  As our team of pet sitters / dog walkers grows we are able to serve more clients in more areas.  If you are near our traditional service area please call or email to discuss your address specifically.  We are currently most active in Holly Springs with a growing presence in Fuquay Varina and Apex. 

Why use a professional pet sitter?

There are many benefits to using in-home pet care.  Pets have lower anxiety and stress while their humans travel and in-home pet sitting just makes for overall happier pets.  Additionally, the pets' diet and exercise routine is not interrupted because they are staying in the comfort of their own home.   

Professional pet sitters have the extra benefit of being bonded and insured.  What would you do if your neighbor let your dog out and it got hit by a car? Or it bit another dog? Or a child?  With an uninsured neighbor, friend or family member  YOU end up being the one that has to pay the vet and medical bills. We all know that doctor bills can get costly quickly and all the money you "saved" by hiring a friend is down the drain.  The peace of mind knowing that you, your home and your pet are protected is worth the extra cost of a professional pet sitting service.

We are truly experts in cat sitting, dog sitting, pet sitting and dog walking.  All of our pet sitters have a passion for animals and their love and care is of utmost importance.  We are not true dog trainers and we currently do not offer overnight pet sitting.  We do offer what we consider an ALMOST over night pet sitting which involves an hour visit in the morning, a mid day walk and an hour visit in the evening. 

Why do I give the pet sitter 2 keys?

Short answer 

To save time and money. 

We collect 2 keys at the initial meet and greet to ensure we have access to your house at the time of service.  (Rest assured, we are bonded and insured!)  We keep the keys on file with an encrypted system that only the owner knows.  Holding a spare key keeps My Furry Godmother from having to charge you for an extra visit to pick up / drop off the keys.  Also, if we have the keys on file it gives you the ability to go on a spur of the moment trip or call us as a backup if you accidentally lock yourself out of your house.  Please call us if you have any questions at all! 

Do you care for other animals besides dogs and cats?

Short answer 

YES! 

We have never met an animal we didn't love.  Big or small, furry or feathery we would love to help care for your pets while you are away.  Some other common animals we have cared for are fish, birds, lizards, guinea pigs and bunnies.  If you are wondering if we can care for your pet don't hesitate to call / email and ask us!  

Do you offer boarding?

Short Answer:

No

We do not provide boarding in our own homes.  We offer in-home pet sitting as we have found it is overall less stressful on the animal.  We are happy to customize any of our pet sitting packages though to ensure that your pet is getting the amount of care and attention you feel most comfortable with.  

If boarding services are necessary feel free to contact us for our recommendations.  

Note these boarding facilities often book up many weeks / months in advance of major holidays.
